My curse is the unending ill-informed Dunning-Kruger replies about how universal basic income will just cause inflation and negate its own value. This assumption is based on an ignorance of UBI's net cost vs gross cost, and also the learned helplessness of a hope-starved society.

Dismantling myths about Universal Basic Income one fact at a time:

UBI isn't about giving money to do nothing. It's about money to do ANYTHING. This is in stark contrast to traditional welfare benefits that require people keep their incomes sufficiently low to keep getting it.

The AI market is such a drunken bar fight right now. So chaotic, and unpredictable. Total chaos. Fascinating to watch, but it's best to stay on the sidelines unless you *really* like Vodka or really like super chaotic drunken brawls with flying barstools.

You can find my analysis of this paper here. TLDR it appears as if GPT4 is using public exploits for most of these CVEs. But until they publish their code, data and results we cannot be sure. Regardless there is likely no emergent AI capability here.
