I'm excited to see that I've already read four of the shortlist (all excellent books!), and I'm looking forward to the two I've yet to read, but I am a little devastated not to see the AMAZING Cuddy by Benjamin Myers on the shortlist 😭. It will forever be my winner. ❤️

I’ve just finished The Stranger’s Companion – an intriguing novel with wonderful characterisation and a rich, distinctive narrative voice. It reminded me of The Trouble with Goats and Sheep – at once a mystery, a coming of age story and the tale of a small community. Out in June!
