Day two of venesection exhaustion and I’ve only just twigged that a big bleed + taking beta blockers is likely why I feel so awful. Only the second time I’ve had a bleed since starting beta blockers and it is 0 fun. Hopefully better tomorrow 🫠🙄😵‍💫

A disturbing article. Just today I found out my institution had opened its professorship application window while I was on parental leave. No one told me, and now I have two weeks to pull together an application. Sigh.

Almost a year ago we found out that my partner had testicular cancer. We had one week to wrap our heads around that fact before his operation & if the surgeon hadn’t had holiday booked it would have been two days. It’s a miserable, frightening thing to experience whoever you are.

Oh this is just the best news! What a gorgeous new livery it’s dressed in, too. Linda’s book is wonderful and has had a very difficult journey over the years. If you can see your way to buying a copy you’ll be supporting a great writer, an important book, and an Indy press too!
