Tragic events in Knowle West have inflicted a terrible grief

The police, council, and community are united in seeking to rid our streets of crime, but people are frustrated at the lack of resources

We must redouble efforts to bring government support back into these communities

The funeral of 15 year old Mason Rist has taken place today in South Bristol.

His family say he was a kind, gentle soul who loved his PlayStation and Liverpool FC. Mason was fatally stabbed in Knowle West in January. His friend, 16 year old Max Dixon also died in the attack.

Pleased to hear a blue plaque is in progress for Knowle West. This would be the first in south Bristol since the Civic Society took on the scheme in 2015. All of Bristol’s heritage deserves to be recognised - not just the wealthy areas
