The deterioration of progressive taxation has coincided with the collapse of public services, education and health systems, even in developed nations.

You get the same inverted u-shaped curve when looking at Sri Lanka's top income and corporate tax rates. The tax cuts also coincide with a more laissez-faire, private investment driven growth model.

The biggest challenge we face is that our elites don't hear and accept the key message the IMF has been telling us - which is that our core problem is LOW TAXES + not HIGH SPENDING.
We need more taxes to: 1)Repay debt that financed past tax cuts, & 2)Pay for necessary spending.

Gaza is starving. The UN is trying to feed them.

Yet many in Congress seem happy to be part of the starvation caucus – more focused on attacking the UN than getting desperately-needed aid to suffering Palestinians.
