We had the fantastic opportunity to take part in a study trip to North Harris Trust and the Galson Estate Trust along with other community landowners from across Scotland last week.
A huge thanks to Community Land Scotland for organising such a valuable knowledge exchange.
We have been starting to work with southernuplandspartnership and the RSPB Scotland as part of the development phase of a bid to Former NatureScot account Nature Recovery Fund. This project is all about restoring habitats at a landscape scale with a particular focus on the recovery of black grouse.
Next Tuesday Third Sector Dumfries and Galloway will be hosting a study visit to Langholm Initiative Tarras Valley Nature Reserve - and we will be there talking about community ownership! Find out more here eventbrite.co.uk/e/social-enterā¦

Hen harriers UPDATE!
We have more data from our GPS tagged hen harrier chicks Aurora and Charlie thanks to RSPB Birders and Hen Harrier Action.
Charlie is spreading his wings even further and enjoying extending his travels to Wales while Aurora is staying north of Preston.

Huge congratulations to Langholm Initiative who have secured the funds to double the size of their community-owned rewilding initiative on a former grouse moor, adding another 5,300 acres to the Tarras Valley Nature Reserve.
