Shooting Suspects Arrested! Newton GED located a vehicle involved in a shooting & the driver refused to yield and fled. A pursuit was initiated, which ended & K-9 was requested. The suspects were arrested and guns were recovered. Outstanding work by GED, Patrol & the K-9 Platoon.

#HMTF obsd 2 susps pulling copper wire from light pole on Washington & Santa Fe. Susps fled on foot and were found hiding under a stolen vehicle. A search resulted in the recovery of handguns & burglary tools. 3 days ago one of the susps was arrested in a stolen car. LAPD HQ

Central Cadets & Senior Lead Officers conducted a foot-beat in Chinatown yesterday! Officers and Cadets placed “Stash it Don’t Flash it” flyers on parked cars in the area to spread awareness of burglary from motor vehicle crimes!

Newton Patrol ofcrs saw a susp stripping copper wire. The HMTF & Newton Dets determined the suspect was linked to several copper wire burglaries. The susp was bkd for Grand Theft with additional filing for Receiving Stolen Property & Burglary Tools.LAPD HQ Kevin de Leόn

Central Division was honored with a special visit from the Gary Sinise Foundation. The lunch provided to the officers boosted morale and lifted spirits as officers were thanked for their service. The foundation team members traveled from Tennessee to express their appreciation.

Central Area Narcotics Enforcement Detail intercepted 3 large narcotics deliveries inbound for #DTLA . A total of 84 pounds of meth was seized and 6 were arrested. A subsequent search warrant in Hawthorne resulted in additional meth and 3.5 pounds of Fentanyl. LAPD HQ
