Our IJTLD paper describes thesmoked drug use prevalence and impact on TB disease burden on presentation. PWSD have higher bacterial burden at diagnosis, check out our findings and implications for community health screening. 👇pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/37231597/

It’s time to redouble and refocus our efforts to fight covid, not retreat bmj.com/content/379/bm…
Important and thoughtful commentary by trusted colleagues. covid-19 is not done with us. Let's try harder.

I really appreciate this clear-headed and thoughtful guidance. I know we want to be done with COVID, but unfortunately it just does not seem to be done with us.

US Covid hospitalizations are at a plateau ~40,000, which is ~4-fold where we were in April this year.
Likewise, deaths are at ~500 each day, and confirmed cases still hover about 100,000 per day.
This is not what containing the virus looks like.

This features some modeling work we have been doing recently projecting that is is very reasonable that COVID has more in store for us and we would be wise to watch and prepare.

A new COVID wave is probably coming, and America just doesn’t seem to care fortune.com/2022/04/09/new…
