Richard Coles Must be something to do with the transfer of heat through the epidermis. I often suffer such injuries as I have not yet learnt that drinking wine, whilst stirring risotto and dancing to camp Swedish pop rock is a recipe for disaster.

I wear my cookery injuries like a veteran of Agincourt his scars. But my question is this: why do tiny little burns from oven contact create such thick scabs?

Indeed! What a picture!!

I thought it was just my GP surgery but apparently not - anyone else had one of those awful appointments that begin with them saying 'And what do you hope to achieve from this appointment'. It made me irrationally angry and consequently didn't really explain myself well.

It was 2 yrs ago today that I had my heart attack. Can still remember every moment, and, though I sill regret calling for an ambulance I'm still here taking the odd photo and trying to do the best I can
