While Kruger National Park elephant poaching stats are increasing, elephants are hunted legally on the park boundaries. Last year, 53 elephants were legally hunted in the APNRs, while 71 elephants were poached in the Kruger. Mixed messages in 'prioritizing' our Natural Heritage, I think.
