Had an amazing meal at Clays Kitchen & Bar tonight. Been too long since we have been!

The surprise for me was the pudding. I don't have a sweet tooth but the peanut butter ice cream was tremendous!!!

Day off tomorrow so the bank holiday weekend has officially started for us.

Kicked it off with a The Smokey Carter™ Texas Ranch Kebab. Marinated for 2 hours then cooked for 16 minutes on the Aldi Stores UK Kamado. Cooked using the Russian Skewers from Manchester Vacs

I've been sent some lovely knives from Taski to try out over the next few weeks. Fantastic first impressions! Really looking forward to using these!

Taski are a Japanese company founded in 2023 based in Seki City, a major world renowned cutlery city.

Getting through the fish from FISHBOX 🐟🎁. Tonight I cooked the halibut in an orange sauce / glaze.

This cook used relatively few ingredients and was a quick midweek dinner.

Cooked this on the Aldi Stores UK Kamado in the Petromax cast-iron skillet.

Cooked a lovely rotisserie Chicken Sunday Roast using the Smokerig BBQ Xtender.

Covered the chicken with the Lemon SPG rub from The Smokey Carter™. Worked perfectly on this! Gave the chicken a lovely colour!

Pre-match visit to Fidget & Bob - fantastic as always! Only 10 minutes walk from at Reading FC.

I have been trying out the Xtender from Smokerig BBQ over the past few weeks. It really does make the Weber Grills Go Anywhere an more versatile portable grill.

Smokerig BBQ also offers custom engraving. I could watch this laser engraving all day!!!

I love discovering new food, and tonight's new fish was Tusk! I'd never heard of it before but it's firmly fixed on my radar now.

Grilled on the weber GBS with some Brussel Sprouts (they taste so much better charred) and topped with a spicy coconut sauce!

Tonight I cooked a Chicken Pathia using the Kitchen Sanctuary recipe.

I marinated the chicken in the Raj's Mom's Chicken Rub from SmokeAndFlame.Net then cooked using the mySpike using the prototype Smokerig BBQ charcoal basket.

This worked for me! 😁

It's an oldie but a goodie!

Lunch was Dishoom Bacon Naan, with Tomato Chilli Jam from the Dishoom cookbook, Philadelphia and Coriander.

The naan was a recipe from Kitchen Sanctuary - so many great recipes!

It's been a while since we have had this but soooooo good!

Cooked Greek-Style Lamb Shanks with a Greek Salad 🇬🇷

I slow cooked these on the WSM with some cherry wood-chunks. Gave them a 2 hour smoke and then braised for 3 hours! They were fall apart when plating up!

Also made some Houmous to go with this!

Great night eating wings with a few beers last night at Wing Jam hosted at BLUE COLLAR 🌮🍔🍹. Company wasn't bad either!

Unanimous in Shwings having the best wings (esp. the Black Curry ones). Closely followed by The Korean Cowgirl and The Wing Social.
