Last year UK Health Security Agency warned vax rates in London were so low - 54% in Hackney for example - a serious outbreak of measles could cause tens of thousands of cases. We aren't there yet but public health teams are worried:

So so so many promising, existing drugs that could be trialled for #LongCovid based on scientifically proven disease mechanisms yet in reality it's taking years and years and endless bureaucracy just to get the most basic, unambitious things trialled. This just isn't acceptable.

You know what hurts more than the isolation, sickness & watching people pretend covid is over? Remembering the brief months in 2020 where we ALL came together. Where the vulnerable were protected & disabilities accommodated. Seeing it WAS possible & was simply abandoned? It hurts

Covid has now impacted THREE generations in my family. There aren't enough words to describe the despair and hopelessness of watching the impacts spread, not just in the world, but within my own blood line. More devastating that no one heeded the destruction of me as a warning.

I was complaining to my friend about how awful things feel and how hard it all is at the minute, and he said 'it's a period of deep moral injury for anyone with a thinking mind and a working heart,' and if that doesn't just hit the nail on the head I don't know what does.
