Today we welcomed visitors from TLC, City of Toronto, trustees & TDSB to Market Lane. Our grade 5-8 students shared with them the pros & cons of schools in shared spaces and showed their accessible playground designs. Super proud of kids @marketlaneps! Jack Nigro Toronto Lands Corporation

Yesterday hundreds of gr. 1-8 Ss worked with Mr. Cushman to edit Fun Facts about themselves, filmed in our school production studio. They loved using WeVideo to add creative green screen effects. We can’t wait to share these productions with our school community! @marketlaneps

It has been a fun 2 days at Market Lane & DAS as each school hosted a badminton tournament! Big thanks to the student athletes for their efforts! Special shoutout to the coaches from all 8 schools! Gratitude to St. Michaels School and St. Lawrence Community Centre for gym space!

Very grateful for the partnerships we have with the learning coach, social worker & CYC team who plan terrific learning opportunities for staff & students at Market Lane! Love the math PLC with our kindergarten teachers & the interactive presentation with our grade 8 students!

#WorldWaterDay2024 Today we recognized World Water Day and Earth Hour at both Market Lane School & DAS! Students did special morning announcements, shared creative ideas on energy & water conservation & did special projects. We found fun ways to learn & play with no electricity!

Today we had an awesome assembly to celebrate African & Chinese heritages. Professor Kwasi Dunyo & students performed with Ghanaian drums! Market Lane Mustang Melody choir led us in a fun Bob Marley sing along! We had a visit from a Dragon & watched a super student created video!

We recognized Pink 👚 Shirt Day at Market Lane & DAS today. We stand against bullying! We revisited our school pledge @marketlaneps too as a reminder to treat ALL with respect! Bake sale and pizza sale happened too. Busy day! Thanks to staff, students & parents for helping out!
