I just want to be really clear about something. Abortions will still happen whether it's illegal or not. The difference is that more women will die because they won't be safe, and it will fall hardest on poor women + women of color. We must fight this with everything we’ve got.

Remember our country is not as conservative as the Supreme Court. And we have the power, but only if we vote. If more of us vote we can make sure our laws reflect our values.

Let's face it. The judge set Kyle Rittenhouse free. He did so from the day he said those murdered were not victims. Vigilante murder in Wisconsin is now a thing.

Maybe the media should start reporting on the number of people with treatable non-COVID illnesses who are dying bc the hospitals are full of COVID patients who haven't been vaccinated.

An utterly crushing day for Big Oil
1) Chevron investors demand emission cuts
2) Dutch court tells Shell to cut emissions by half
3) Exxon shareholders buck the company and elect directors demanding climate action.
Thanks to all who fight--you push long enough and dominoes tumble

Dear @GOPLeader and Leader McConnell

I tried to speak slowly, use pictures and keep it real simple so that your base could understand these facts.

Your enemy,

Please retweet this important 18 second video about the GOPs attempt to deny what happened on January 6.

It's not violent or controversial. It's incredibly simple.

Relying on Kevin McCarthy to do something about MTG’s behavior is like asking Ted Cruz to cancel his New Year’s dinner at Señor Frogs.

If you don't know Ed Gonzalez, he's a sheriff in Texas who spent years of his career fighting ICE and Biden nominated him to run the agency. Taking a page out of the GOP playbook and I'm here for it.

We've spent the past week debating policing. I spent that time pouring over a body of political science research that focuses on the criminal justice system's effect on democracy.

What I found was troubling.

Since 1976, the Republicans have controlled the White House for 24 years + the Democrats for 20 years:

•The Republicans have appointed 11 Supreme Court Justices.

• The Democrats have appointed 4 Justices.

In the last 30 years, the GOP won the popular vote only once.
