Women seeking sanctuary are often charged for their maternity care, even when they are destitute.
Maternity Action are running free training sessions on how to assist those who are destitute and have been charged for care - a great learning opportunity.
Stark disparities highlighted today in neonatal mortality and stillbirth rates for Black and Asian babies. This often includes those born whilst their parents are seeking sanctuary. We support the call for urgent action to address these inequalities. NHS Race & Health Observatory Fivexmore_
We had an unforgettable weekend away in the dales : Halton Gill, with 32 mums and children. We laughed so much our sides hurt. We met old friends and made new ones. The children were incredible and we had lots of fun playing games with them.
