So impressed with students' creativity and engagement with our Desmos Classroom Pet House Project. Students learned about linear functions, inequalities, and domain/range restrictions in order to make an increadible house for their chosen pet. teacher.desmos.com/activitybuilde…

Spice up 'dry' math topics with 'Would you rather?' questions.

Unit conversions was my most boring lesson until I changed the questions to things like 'Would you rather drive 100 ft/sec or 50 mph?' Students would make predictions and want to learn the math to find the answer.

My students took the STAAR test today (using embedded Desmos - WOOT! Still celebrating that!) and are starting their rough drafts tomorrow!

I share a 'meme of the day' that I personally made at the end of every lesson and this was today's and students liked it so much that several of them grabbed their phones to take a picture of it. 😅
