Excellent week of commemorations marking 120 . At The National Archives, following remarks by French Ambassador Duchene and Minister Lord Parkinson, we viewed the original documents signed in 1904 and other archives tracing Franco-British cooperation.

The exhibition at the The The National Archives entitled 'Great Escapes: Remarkable Second World War Captives' is both enlightening and enjoyable. The exhibition runs until 21st July and I would highly recommend a visit. nationalarchives.gov.uk/great-escapes/.

Canada releases today its much-delayed Defence Policy Update

Key point for me: Canada will release a new national security strategy every four years from now. There will also be defence policy reviews every 4 years, as part of an integrated process.

Yesterday Richard Aldrich--during the Distinguished Scholar roundtable--highlighted one article of mine as a 'best of'...this one: 'Why strategic intelligence analysis has limited influence on American foreign policy.' Cool!

Took in the Imperial War Museums only yesterday on a behind-the-glass tour… simply marvelous!

My nerdy favourite? Seeing documents like those at Kew virtually “in action” in the map room 👀
