This is a lie
1) Study is 1yr old, not new
2) Results non-sig for MTF
3) Linkage to T is small for FTM
4) Smoking, BMI, exercise are not controlled for.

This is pretty blatant misinformation. Not only is the study over a year old, but the text itself plainly states that gender-affirming hormones only accounted for a relatively small portion of that increase in cardiovascular risk. And that’s besides unmeasured confounders.

1) The study only attributes 1/3rd of the risk increase to hormones in trans men, and 'not significant' in trans women.

2) Yes, medication has side effects. The risk increase here is honestly small compared to many. Even paracetamol increases stroke risk ffs.

Happily, the current flowering of trans art and literature has largely escaped the notice of those unworthy of its glory. Imagine if they had seen what we have seen and remained unmoved! There would be no hope for them.
