I was delighted to attend the Forbury Fiesta 2024 last Saturday. Thank you to all the sponsors, stallholders and entertainers for offering plenty of activities for kids and their families to join. I am proud of so much effort being put into making Reading a great place to live.

I had a wonderful time with Prospect Junior Parkrun on Sunday morning. It was fantastic to see so many junior runners. Many thanks to everyone who made it all possible.

I had a great time at the Refugee Support Group 🧡's fundraising concert devoted to the 30th anniversary of the organisation. I enjoyed the inspiring talks by Lord Alf Dubs, heartfelt conversations with local refugees, and amazing performances. Thank you for supporting our community.

One of the oldest twinnings between 🇩🇪+🇬🇧 dates back to 1947 when the Mayor of Reading Phoebe Cusden invited impoverished children from post-war Düsseldorf to her town.

Readinger Straße in Düsseldorf today pays tribute to this 🇬🇧-🇩🇪 link, with a Phoebe-Cusden-Platz also planned.

It was inspiring to see so many runners taking part in Reading Half Marathon 2024, and I am especially proud of my team running for Refugee Support Group 🧡 and Reading Stroke Support Group. Well done to all participants and organisers for this fantastic event!

I was delighted to join Let's Sing 2024 grand final last night. Thank you to all the performers, judges and everyone involved in this amazing event supporting my chosen charities. Congratulations to Avenue and The Hill Primary School who were crowned this year's winners!

The judges certainly faced a challenging decision for the “Let’s Sing” In aid of the The Mayor of Reading Fund, supporting Refugee Support and the Reading Stroke Support Group.

I have attended the opening of the new Reading West station building. It offers a ticket counter, new lighting, CCTV, a new bus interchange and more. Thanks Reading Borough Council, Network Rail, and Great Western Railways for improving commuting experience.
