Today, on the 11th of February, we celebrate the International Day of Women and Girls in #Science Women in Science Day. #GEOMAR aims to reduce the persistent gender gap and support a future where all genders have an equal chance.

Really fun chatting all things submarine volcanism. Thanks to Isobel Yeo for convening & Arnoldo Chappell for support - at one point we had cores from the mid Atlantic, Canary Islands, S Pacific, Caribbean and offshore Santorini on the bench at the same time! Amazing resource for cores!

Had a great time at National Oceanography Centre chatting all things submarine volcanism and cores 🌋
