City Growth committee this evening and we have more applications in for our Vacant to Vibrant grant which is focused on reducing vacant premises in the City Centre.

Since we launched Vacant to Vibrant the vacancy rate in the City Centre has dropped by 3%.

I’m delighted that committee backed my proposal this evening to use funds raised by events in our parks (Boucher Rd, Botanic Gdns, & Ormeau Pl) to invest back into the local area.

This endures that the levy paid by big promoters using our parks benefit those who are disrupted.

I’m passionate about supporting the most vulnerable and using my experience in the homeless sector and the work that we’re doing through the Complex Lives strategy to ensure that our city does more to support those experiencing homelessness.
