I can’t quite believe I have done a whole term in my new role it’s has flown by yet I feel like I have been here forever. I’m lucky to have an amazing team and loving that most of my work is once again with children, families and teachers.

Great leadership is having the ability to be so low one day but bounce back the next. It’s about being ethical and true to your ‘Why’ and sometimes we have to be strong when faced with situations that challenge this. We have to model this and integrate as our values as a trust!

I have loved my first term but have to confess I am ready for the two week break! 4 days to go 👍🏼Happy holidays to those who are already finished.

Giving children opportunities to develop resilience and aspiration is so key to addressing disadvantage. Being part of something outside of their current lived experiences is powerful.

Off to a brass band festival in Cheltenham with school today. It is going to be a long day on the coach but I know we’ll still all love it! The kids are really excited. Experiences matter

My mission is complete again in having a tidy desk and office but the biggest win is I still have 3 healthy plants! This is an achievement for me! Loved my week again… very busy, some challenges but so many wins too 👍🏻

What I’m loving about being back in headship: having my own team all in one place again with a real sense of in it together and seeing really strong relationships develop with children, particularly those with additional needs. Children build trust when they see me day in day out
