I’m generally open to talking w well-funded AI-Safetyism folks to seek alignment on baseline issues, and get a stronger coalition on those topics, but this bill draft shows a lot of daylight (pun sadly not intended) between us, and no overtures from them, not even superficially.

Just finished giving this talk to a group of masters and PhD students here at FGV, and they had great questions and comments! Of course Luca Belli provided very useful comments and guided the discussion brilliantly!

This is good but not enough! Open Tech Institute is steadfast in calling on congress to pass #ADPPA , as comprehensive federal privacy legislation can protect everyone’s privacy, including by dealing w/ data brokers & national security in a, you guessed it, comprehensive way!
