Figures published today by Ministry of Justice show that 54,027 self-harm incidents were recorded in prisons in 2021 - that's about one every 10 minutes.

The self-harm rate has decreased slightly in prisons holding men, but it has risen in prisons holding women.

Homelessness has risen 165% in the past decade, with Tory cuts & a broken housing system to blame.

That's why places like Spring Housing's hostel in Earlsdon – which I visited today – are so important, providing warmth, safety & support for people who have nowhere else to go.

Fully agree with this. I’ve put on events where I simply don’t have the budget to pay people with LE so don’t invite them & expect them to work all day for free. I see so much LE used by orgs that is exploitative & retraumatising. We can & must do better.
