The real challenge today is the fear of depth

Everyone’s scrambling for shortcuts and bypassing the foundational work, not realizing that good groundwork is the fastest route to excellence

Don’t worry about building your brand.

Or finding your niche.

Ask yourself what feels deeply good to you — meaningful, fulfilling, enlivening.

This is your pathway to your unique gifts.

When you tap into them and share them with others, you create your brand.

Authentically.

If your goal doesn't excite you, if it's not something you truly deeply want, no amount of systems or good habits or discipline will help you achieve it.

It takes courage to get honest about what you truly want.

But it's the only way to create the life you love.

Your possible future selves have a huge impact on your motivation and how you react to wins and failures.

Powerful exercise:

Write about your:

- expected possible future self
- hoped for possible future self
- feared future self

All these selves impact you today.

I’ve become pretty close with one of the founders I work with.
Every time we talk, at the beginning of our meetings, he’ll ask me just one incredibly thoughtful question, such as 'What is one thing you’re grateful for today?' or 'What is something rad that happened in your day?'

There are no life hacks.

To make any meaningful change will require effort and discomfort.

But it doesn’t mean struggle

When you support yourself with love and compassion, look for possibility and create a positive inner narrative you will struggle less.

And you will succeed.

The biggest mistake I made as a leader was focusing too much on the team and not enough on myself.

I had no inner anchor. I wasn’t connected to myself, my feelings. I did not bring anywhere near my best.

I hurt my team my being a “servant leader” who didn’t serve herself first.

Reflection is important, but I think people generally spend too much energy analyzing why they are where they are instead of using that energy to take steps to move forward.

Change requires forward energy.

Most powerful mindset shift I know of when you are facing disappointment or failure:

This is how it is.

This is how I feel.

What is within my control that I could do to move forward in a way that reduces my inner struggle and helps me reach my goal?

In the beginning, people think they need to be successful in multiple industries/categories in order to unlock status, recognition, and financial success. But any amount of meaningful success in 1 category gives you all those things. You quickly learn less is more.

You’re a being, not a doing.

My mentor said this to me when I was in the pit of burnout.

I couldn’t absorb it then.

But it’s changed my approach to life - without making me less ambitious or hardworking.

You are a being, not a doing.

I hope this reaches you at the right time

No one wants your availability.

People want your presence.

Learn to set boundaries.

Recognize that you need to fuel yourself in order to bring your care and attention to others.

Hot take:

You can take a break BEFORE you finish what you’re working on.

Before you cross all your to-dos off your list.

When you take a break, you get more energy and allow your brain to reset and refuel.

This will help you get it done better and faster after your break!

Sharing your difficult feelings with another person is not a burden.

It’s a gift.

A gift of your authenticity.

An opportunity to support you and care for you.

A gift of your humanness, which is ultimately the only thing we all want from each other.
