Global military spending has reached 2.4 trillion, increased a 39.4% in the last 10 years, and doubled since 2001 (1.2 t $), when the 'War on Terror'' started.
The upward trend is clear, despite how enemies (and excuses) have changed during this time.

This past weekend, the House passed $95 billion in war and related spending. This $95 billion could have provided 9.6 million low-income adults AND 16.5 million low-income kids with healthcare.

We need to move past an increasingly militarized world and shift to a peaceful one.
