kris anka We built her an internal glowing skeleton that was rigged an animated so her limbs could extend, & our fx team created floating pixel simulations inside her that were always moving. Margo’s technology is not from Miguel’s world, so we had to make sure it felt different…

This industry doesn't exist to make art for art's sake, it's set up to make money in a safe and predictable manner. So what gets made is limited, trend focused, and of its time. Plus, it's overseen by a committee whose goal is conform the film to the brand's rules.

This article doesn't even mention that pre-strike, studios gutted their animation slates. Many of our kin have been out of work for a year. They could pick up more anim shows - we are not affected by the strikes completely - but they haven't.

The federal Railway Labor Act puts up roadblocks before rail unions can strike in an attempt to reach a resolution.
