We found that Colorado Chipmunks in the Oscura Mtns of New Mexico are old-growth pinyon-juniper woodland specialists. The stands they selected were more than 400 years old. Thinning woodlands would have negative impacts. NMSU Fish, Wildlife & Cons Ecol

New paper from PhD student Dylan Osterhaus & colleagues examines restored oxbow wetlands. Adding agricultural tile drainage had no negative impacts. Oxbows receiving tile drainage provide habitat for imperiled fish & increase nutrient sequestration rdcu.be/dyUA1
