Do you like mammals? Then you might want to drop by the Biology seminar on this Thurs. afternoon or the NMSU Fish, Wildlife & Cons Ecol seminar on Fri. afternoon as we host Dr. Bruce Patterson, Curator Emeritus of Mammals from the Field Museum of Natural History. Bruce is also an NMSU graduate alum!
We found that Colorado Chipmunks in the Oscura Mtns of New Mexico are old-growth pinyon-juniper woodland specialists. The stands they selected were more than 400 years old. Thinning woodlands would have negative impacts. NMSU Fish, Wildlife & Cons Ecol
