While the vigils are silent the group Notts Friends of Standing Together 🟣, is not.

As part of the vigil there are always people handing out flyers and connecting, as one human to another, with passer-bys.

Devoid of flags and jingoism, these dedicated campaigners represent the best of us.

Meanwhile, every Sunday there are Jews, Muslims and others joining together in vigils to promote true British values - compassion, understanding and a desire for peace.

When did letting children stave become a British value?

The same politicians who shout about patriotism and British values are also the loudest in support of an Israeli government which has publicly called for the destruction of Gaza.

Tonight in Haifa:
NO TO REGIONAL WAR. NO TO MORE DEATH AND DESTRUCTION.
Only a ceasefire agreement and hostage deal can save innocent lives in Gaza and bring back the hostages. Only Israeli-Palestinian peace can secure a real future here for all.

Instead of expanding this war into new fronts - Iran, Lebanon or Rafah - we need to end it. We need a ceasefire to release the Israeli hostages, to stop the killing and destruction in Gaza & to avoid a regional war.
