On this GTFC day.... 1998. Aged 14. Going every week with my Dad & Grandpa. In love with Super Jack. Thought Town would be brilliant forever.
On this GTFC day.... First trip to the hallowed turf Wembley with the mariners was something I thought I would never ever experience at that time. Was actually one of the greatest days of my life with the bonus that we won and then another visit in the playoff final which we also won π UTM
Grim Tim πππ On this GTFC day.... Got to agree with this. My first season of going to games regularly. Started out with Bobby C scoring inside a minute and ended with the thrashing Sheff Utd. So many legends in that squad. The strongest squad in living memory.
John Wilson On this GTFC day.... I was there as well what a fantastic night against Exeter happy days
On this GTFC day.... How good were them 2 in the middle of the park , run through brick walls β«οΈβͺοΈπͺπͺπͺ
On this GTFC day.... For me it would have to be the 1997/98 season. A great campaign with not one but two visits to Wembley. The year we watch grown men cry together. And the year my dad and I jumped up and down together in joy. Been great seasons since then though too.
On this GTFC day.... 1998 when Wembley got boring , we ended up playing there every other week at the back end of the season
we stopped Keegan as well on a memorable night at BP when it bounced
On this GTFC day.... Iβm the same age but Iβd have to go for 97/98. A perfect culmination of a brilliantly bonkers period with Buckleyβs departure to West Brom, Bonneti and Laws, peak Groves, the skill of Burnett, the confidence of Donovan and the pure entertainment of Lester.
On this GTFC day.... 89-90. Was 16, had a bit of cash from a part-time job, a ton of freedom and a brilliant team to watch every week. Great days!
On this GTFC day.... The thirteen year old me thought football would always be like that.
