There is a direct line between abortion bans and the dehumanization of women and all people who can become pregnant. And as our nation's history consistently shows, dehumanization leads to violence, and often violence with impunity -- be it by the state or by intimate partners.

Not only was she forced to travel for abortion health care, but she was killed for having an abortion. Abortion restrictions and bans leave women more vulnerable to domestic violence. This is absolutely horrific and heartbreaking.
