Session 3 at the ⁦Geographical Association⁩ was a corker. The excellent ⁦Alistair Hamill⁩ led us through development of knowledge & understanding in relation to plate tectonics, & shed light on misconceptions. It was a real privilege to chat with remarkable ⁦peteloader

peteloader ESTA The Geological Society Philip Heron Douwe van Hinsbergen @ominologist EGU Alistair Hamill @lcgeography OK, my personal (teaching) bugbear... subduction zone volcanism. A very confused answer with 'high P and heat generated by sinking plate'; 2nd one is already better (role of volatiles) but also still has 'friction' in it.
