In our Trends in Cancer review, we highlight how intentional use of self reported social constructs is useful to detect how racism translates into tumor biology. Combined with genetic tools to identify molecular mechanisms, we can empower the field to improve clinical outcomes.

After 12+ years of serving this great agency, today is my last day as #NIH Director. It's been a true honor and privilege to serve the 'National Institutes of Hope' as I've often called #NIH .
