Mid 2022 I & others said AI will be writing assignments in a few months. Nobody listened and we got reactive/punitive responses when we were ‘surprised’ by ChatGPT.

Now deepfakes are coming. They will be used in online vivas & remote proctored exams. Will we be surprised again?

My hairdresser (don't laugh I go to one every few years) just posted on his feed that people should stop coming in with AI-generated images and asking for hair like them. Curly hair is wild and won't do what AI thinks it can do!

I disagree that the 'assessment focus' on AI was wrong. I think some of the approaches taken were, but improvements to assessment were (and still are) urgently needed.
