The ED Platform for labour underscores the role of civil society organizations in ensuring safe labour migration inclusive of awareness raising, provision of legal aid and representation in advocacy for an enabling a appropriate legal framework for migrant workers.
Grace Mukwaya, Platform for labour: Government should look into countries and their Human Rights records. We should not be having bilateral agreements with them if they are not able to protect the externalized labour migrants.

Today, we held an informative session for one of our partners, Platform for Labour Action on #communication & #advocacy .

#HappeningNow PLA is conducting its bi- annual engagement meeting with Lira city Market vendors and authorities.The vendors presented a position paper raising issues affecting their operations in the mkt and key achievements.
Platform for labour reccomends that industrial relations matters are given appropriate attention by multilateral partners at work places, for purposes of improving competence and usefulness of workers for better service deliver.
