We have contending forces. We try to build a censor resistant, safe and live distributed settlement network. But no user cares about any of it. Rational founders are then led to 'intersubjective work', non-existent fraud proofs, etc. Optimists think tech wins. Not clear to me.

Completely disagree: the only reason I'm here is selfishness (bought some ETH thinking it would give me a good return). The only projects I work on are long term health improvements for L1. Like me, many are first here by greed and stay by falling in love with the protocol.

Has anyone built a bridge that will 1) allow me to deposit an L1 validator straight from Arbitrum (💙,🧡) and 2) set my withdrawal credentials to some contract that will automatically send them to L2? I get that withdrawals don't trigger EVM now so 2) may require polling or smith

This is one of the few developments outside of forkchoice hardening that really excites me in Ethereum. Huge kudos to Rachel 💙🧡 and her team that have logged long and intense hours for over a year to get here. I was hooked when I saw Chris Buckland's many-body demo onchain!

I have seen many posts about the deflationary status of ETH. Since I have no shame I'll ask the obvious. Deflation is typically bad cause it drives out consumption and this drives out production. But ETH stops being deflationary when there's no usage so what's the problem really?

Early onset Alzheimer? Aging? I've been feeling increasingly less functional and outright forgetful. I rationalize it as my brain saying 'I had to make space for crypto so I'll remove these big chunks of prior knowledge'. But I find myself looking for words more often. Anyone?

I just found out that my genesis validators were eligible to a couple of airdrops like Starknet 🦇🔊 and Omni Network 🤖 but through my depositing address. Who chose to use that (which is clearly a thrashable address) instead of the withdrawal credentials? obviously I can't claim them :(
