As someone born couple years the other side of the upper bound of this range I often feel like I got last chopper out of Saigon - lower fees, Erasmus, decade of low interest rates and low inflation... I'm genuinely surprised my younger colleagues aren't mounting the barricades

I know lots of people who work/have worked in the US. Healthcare isn't a problem if you have well-paid job. On culture, depends what you're looking for, but US has lots to offer. However work/life balance is genuine issue, if you're savvy you negotiate keeping UK employment terms

Politicised investigations and prosecutions are obviously bad. But nothing is worse than politicians using partisanship as cover to commit crimes with impunity. Solution is intra-party hygiene.

My long-standing view is we should have some form of elected upper chamber along lines of German Bundestag but until this happens the existing HoL should be able to use the powers it has at its disposal, otherwise what's the point
