Global health equity means including trans & gender-diverse people. It addresses root causes of health disparities like economic exclusion. It involves legal protections, joy, & freedom to exist across the sex-gender continuum. My piece in The Conversation U.S.:

Reflections on Jan.6 attempted white nationalist coup: We must guard against false symmetries here. This was an orchestrated riot in defense of a reigning and waning tyrant & white supremacist. It is in no way akin 2 protests demanding justice and resisting racism and oppression.

The epitome of joy and justice.

'To the political leaders who work to criminalize trans healthcare and deny our right to exist..: you have blood on your hands...I love that I am trans. And I love that I am queer.'

This , I'm inspired by recent unprecedented editorials on the need to openly & seriously engage w/ political determinants of health.

Indisputable evidence of systemic inequities & the crisis obligate us all to take a firm stand in favor of science and truth.

Pharmaceutical companies are striking billion dollar deals, from research funded by tax-payers, while keeping the science secret. We need 1) no monopolies 2) tech transfer so that 3) effective vaccines can be made at cost throughout the world.

~ On repeat ~

'If we want to develop an intersectional perspective, the trans community is showing us the way... We support the trans community precisely because this community has taught us how to challenge that which is totally accepted as normal.'

Data on police killings are only collected in about 16 states - we have more data from the CDC about how many people are killed by jellyfish.

*We need comprehensive data reporting, which decreases officer-involved killings by ~25%*
