Then at 5pm, internationally-renowned pianist Erik Bertsch will perform music by George Benjamin, alongside works by Rameau, Ravel, Purcell and Bach. The concert will also feature the world premiere of a new electroacoustic composition, Masks, by Richard Causton (@Kings_College )

This is disastrous news. European touring is a huge source of income for UK orchestras, and of indirect subsidy for the entire industry here. If, as reported, these tours are now unviable, it will mean the end not only of the tours but of many of the orchestras themselves.
