The 'inside walls are perfectly smooth.' Except for incisions which don't line up and clearly show this was not made by 'advanced' machinery

These guys are a joke. It's why they never show pics of insides of stone vessels that are obviously handmade by ingenious craftspeople

Gave a talk with students about my writing career and decided to show them the kind of feedback and edits I receive. I thought it only fair, as they get my feedback on their work, to show them that they're not alone.

Research question for Romanists and Hellenistic/religious historians! An oracle's given to the Athenians during the sack of Athens by Sulla: Pausanias says they received 'from the Pythia the response about the wine skin' (1.20.7).

I cannot find out what that means? Any help?
