If a law is unjust, it is a moral imperative that you violate it, rather than concede to injustice.

The author seems naive or oblivious to the distincition between academic debate and activism.

Activism is to take a position, and advocate for it.

Academic debate is a mutual search for truth.

The author is mistaking the activism, for academic debate.

But they don't necessarily elect Democrats to do the same thing.

JOHNSON is about 8 days from having 3 members of the GOP Caucus remove him from the Speakership.

Unless the Democrats save him.

Perhaps JOHNSON should resign if he can't 'bring order' to his caucus.

For the first time in 200 years, faculty at my university (specifically - the Law school faculty) have gone on unlimited strike.

Their demands include governance, salary, and policy changes.

This happens at a significant time in the history of @McGillU .
