Our online project exhibition is now live! It features various curios we've discovered during the course of our research, including a short piece by me on how Shepperton studios almost acquired the right to appoint vicars to its local church. But didn't.

Any Godard heads around? The first part of Le Mépris is generally said to be filmed at Cinecitta' (including by Colin MacCabe in his JLG biog). But it doesn't look like Cinecitta'! Anyone know where it was shot?

My new studiotecproject article, which tells how gowns from Gainsborough Pictures' costume department were hired out for use as wedding dresses by hundreds of British brides in the 1940s, has been published in the Journal of British Cinema and Television
