I think this is always forgotten by Labour tribalists who love bashing the Lib Dems over austerity. Newsflash… Labour also pledged an austerity package in 2010 (slightly deeper cuts than the Lib Dems) and Clegg managed to limit it to under the proposed Labour pledge.

LibDems have won over 30% of the seats in the 170 council by-elections over the last year, more than any other party, increasing their number of councillors by 19 while Labour has lost seats overall.

This statistic is very useful.

UK has a relatively fast growing population (large immigration) so 0% growth means people are getting much poorer. #Brexit

Italy, Japan and Spain can be seen in a truer light.

If you're pro-EU and would like to rejoin then it's worth studying this handy little indicator of which parties voted for what, and which parties are pro-EU.

Then avoid voting Tory or Labour with extreme prejudice.

The Scottish Greens seem to be experiencing something of an existential crisis.

They have presided over missed climate targets and 21,660 sewage dumps.

They must be the only green party anywhere in the world to abandon its traditions and swap environmentalism for nationalism.

It’s great that we’re appealing to centre and centre-right voters.

Their values of aspiration are ones that the Liberal Democrats appeal to.
