San Mateo County is soliciting input and collaboration on the implementation of Senate Bill 43 which will impact individuals with severe substance use disorders. Two listening sessions will be held on Thursday, May 9 from 9 to 11 a.m. and Tuesday, May 21 from 2 to 4 p.m.

Hundreds of San Mateo County Sheriff's Office deputies and front-line professional staff received autism awareness training this week from a renowned Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital psychologist.

County Executive's Office & SMC HSA staff came together for a flag raising event to bring awareness to child abuse prevention. Board of Supervisors designated April 2024 as Child Abuse Prevention Month urging all to advocate for supports to prevent child abuse in San Mateo County

Quite the rescue today in Butano State Park! Firefighters with CAL FIRE, San Mateo County Fire Station 59 (Pescadero) and our Loma Mar Fire Department volunteers responded to an injured hiker deep in the park on the Olma Fire Road. The hiker called for help after taking a tumble. (MORE ⬇️)
