If Twitter goes down tonight, I want my last tweet to be:

2-handed knot tying is a superior technique and those in training should practice it until they feel comfortable using it for all critically important knots.

We proposed metrics when restrictions could be safely lifted in states- which are1) high rates of vaccination & 2) getting down to 5 hospitalizations per 100,000. Wanted to list where each state is in hospitalization metric (surge vaccine to those highest) washingtonpost.com/outlook/2021/0…

Vaccines need to be easily accessible to all our residents.

So starting next Tuesday (2/23), all rides to or from a vaccination appointment on SFMTA will be free.

Just have your vaccine card or your appointment confirmation with you.

privileged to get my 2nd dose in the old SFGH 4E ICU. i can literally remember the specific patients i took care of in that room. grateful for science and everyone who volunteered for trials, including my immunologist dad. all the feels today.

1/ Covid (UC San Francisco) Chronicles, Day 237

California hit its millionth case today. A milestone like that might seem an odd occasion to highlight the state as a national model for its Covid response. But I will.

Here's The New York Times piece marking millionth case tinyurl.com/y4e4zxnp
