Despite a light covering of the white stuff, we are open today at our Cromford Mills bookshop. The Christmas markets are a bit restricted but all of the mill traders, cafe and site facilities are open today until 4pm.

Dave has been shovelling snow and has gone to fetch the salt. Jayne has the coffee machine on and is prepping soup. I (Sophie) am here to sell you knowledge and empathy and maps.

The re-enactment of George Orwell's monthly broadcast called 'Voice' was presented & performed by our booksellers, bookkeepers, & baristas.

New/Old - just in! Lovingly rebound in the bookshop, from antique books that were destined for the bin. Gareth has repurposed these old volumes into blank journals or sketchbooks with recycled 130gsm paper. Currently in the gift room, but probably not for long.

It's Cromford's late night Christmas shopping night tonight (Friday 24th)!

There will be a lantern parade from 6pm, with mulled wine at the Community Centre and Christmas lights switch on.

Both the bookshop and café will be open till 8pm.
