Why won’t they work? The Clean air act worked before. It was the law and people complied. Wood burning stoves just came in by stealth. People don’t need them they just want them. Smokers believed a ban on cigarette smoking in public places wouldn’t work but it has. #AirPollution

Look at the comments made to campaigners on X to know this happens. Usually when they can’t provide any facts to back up their arguments. Happens in real life too.

Ask Defra UK , Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities and HETAS to ensure regulations are fit for purpose and protect everyone, whether in SCAs or not. Its about proximity to other properties, not whether urban or rural.

Tackling noise is rarely a priority of governments so it does no harm to remind them that at least one in five of people in Europe are exposed to chronic levels of noise that can cause adverse health effects.
