Excited to announce that applications are open for the 2nd edition of our workshop on vertebrate anatomy and ecophysiogy! Come gain hands-on experience in dissecting across the tree of life. Workshop in Glasgow on April 12, see below for more info! Dr. Katharina Ruthsatz @zoology_museum
New preprint out in @EcoEvoRxiv with some amazing colleagues. “ Reporting guidelines for terrestrial respirometry: Building openness, transparency of metabolic and evaporative water loss data” | doi.org/10.32942/X2402M
Wonderful to see a fruitful collaboration with Jack Thomson Prof Kate Arnold and Shaun Killen finally published. Metabolic rate, boldness and coping with temperature in bold and shy sea anemones #climatechange journals.biologists.com/jeb/article/22…
📢Job alert! I'm looking for a POSTDOC IN ANIMAL (FISH) ECOPHYSIOLOGY to join my research group at DTU Aqua (DTU) in Denmark. Focus is on understanding variation in how steeply metabolic rate changes (scales) with body size. PLEASE REPOST! More info: efzu.fa.em2.oraclecloud.com/hcmUI/Candidat…
It is often assumed that correlations btwn metabolic rate and behaviour can cause indirect selection. By examining numerous behaviours, our paper by Amélie Crespel shows when this 'phenotypic gambit' is incorrect & why genetic correlations are needed: royalsocietypublishing.org/doi/full/10.10…
Fantastic new analysis by Marie Levet showing non-linear, dose-dependent effects of immune system stimulation on metabolism and gene expression in a damselfish species. This was a very complex dataset and an amazing effort pulling it all together. cdnsciencepub.com/doi/10.1139/cj…
