Yep! 18-24 months personal runway at a minimum, to start a company.

It’s seems harder than ever to me to actually gauge was “best company” even means. Good thing I’m not an investor.

I think it’s quite the opposite, we spend too much time glorifying the story or the vision in the early days. In fact the entire fundraising process of venture capital itself focuses on storytelling more than execution IMO in early stages. Agreed that both are important.

Hire a senior executive that only comes from big company experience and you’ll get a masterclass on this 🤣. It can be a helpful skill in some selective spots, but overall very detrimental to a startup. You have to seek the truth AND face the truth at startups.
