The Data Institute began because Sisi Wei & Lena V. Groeger saw an equity gap in training for data journalism. The intensive, free workshop has helped nearly 100 journalists since 2016, and this year’s program is July 8-19 in DC.

NYC has added disclaimers to the AI chatbot as a result of our journalism, but why not take the bot down, add an initial fix, then release it again?

If NYC website text was telling people to break the law, I doubt that text would be allowed to stand as-is.
